Abstract
The MOXO distractors-based-continuous performance test is a continuous performance test that measures attentional processes. There are two separate tests, each for a specific age group. There is a MOXO kids test that is for 6- to 12-year-olds and lasts 14.5 min. There is a MOXO teen and adult test for those 13 and older, which lasts 18.5 min. The MOXO provides both auditory and visual targets and distractors. The current article explores the MOXO, its underlying theoretical framework, and its structure. The advantages are discussed, as well as concerns regarding the technology, the regional normative sample, and the claims made by the MOXO developers.
